I have done a lot of photography in my life, and after getting into the indie music scene in Santa Cruz in 1998, documenting music culture became very important to me. Over the last few years Facebook and Instagram have been my only outlet for my documentary photography, but I am now getting back into making proper photo essays. I’ve been missing the long form narrative possibility of photo essays which is basically impossible with social media.
